Last updated on 25-06-2026

This Refund Policy explains the rules, timelines, and conditions applicable to cancellations, amendments, and refunds for all bookings made through MajhaTravel.com, owned and operated by Shabad International, Gurdaspur, Punjab, India.

By making a booking on MajhaTravel.com, you agree to this Refund Policy along with our Terms and Conditions and any service-specific rules communicated at the time of booking.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all bookings made through MajhaTravel.com including:

  • Domestic and international flight bookings
  • Hotel room reservations
  • Bus ticket bookings
  • Holiday and tour packages
  • Car rental and airport transfer bookings
  • Any other travel-related service offered on our platform

All refunds are subject to the fare rules, cancellation terms, and policies of the respective airline, hotel, bus operator, tour operator, car rental provider, and payment gateway involved in the booking.

2. General Refund Principles

MajhaTravel.com acts as an online travel intermediary and booking facilitator. In most cases, refund eligibility is determined by the cancellation terms and fare rules of the actual supplier providing the booked service.

Refunds may be approved, partially approved, or denied depending on:

  • The type of service booked
  • The supplier's specific cancellation and refund policy
  • The timing of the cancellation request relative to the travel date
  • Whether the booking is marked refundable or non-refundable
  • Whether the service has already commenced or been used
  • Whether the cancellation was made by the customer, supplier, or due to force majeure

3. Flight Booking Refunds

Flight booking refunds are governed by the fare rules of the respective airline. Fares may be fully refundable, partially refundable, or entirely non-refundable depending on the fare class purchased.

Refunds for flight bookings may be affected by:

  • Fare type and class of travel
  • Domestic or international routing
  • Time remaining before scheduled departure
  • Airline-initiated cancellations or schedule changes
  • No-show status of the passenger
  • Ancillary services such as seat selection, meals, excess baggage, or add-on insurance

Where a fare is marked non-refundable by the airline, only applicable government taxes, if any, may be eligible for refund. Airline-imposed cancellation charges apply in addition to any MajhaTravel.com service processing fees.

4. Hotel Booking Refunds

Hotel refunds depend on the cancellation policy of the individual property, room type, rate plan, check-in date, and booking conditions at the time of reservation.

  • Bookings with a free cancellation window are refundable if cancelled before the specified deadline
  • Discounted, promotional, or advance purchase rates are generally non-refundable
  • Failure to check in, early departure, or violation of hotel booking conditions may result in partial or full forfeiture of the booking amount

5. Bus Booking Refunds

Bus ticket refunds are subject to the cancellation rules of the concerned bus operator. Refund amounts vary based on the cancellation timing and whether the operator designates the booking as refundable or non-refundable.

Passengers who miss boarding, report late, or provide incorrect travel details may be treated as a no-show and may not qualify for any refund.

6. Tour Package Refunds

Refunds for holiday and tour packages are based on the package cancellation schedule, supplier commitments, hotel contracts, transport arrangements, and any prepaid or non-recoverable components.

The following components may remain non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing:

  • Visa fees and processing charges
  • Permit and entry fees for restricted destinations
  • Non-refundable airfare components within the package
  • Event tickets, activity bookings, and special reservations
  • Peak-season or festive-period hotel commitments
  • Customised arrangements made on specific customer request

7. Car Rental and Transfer Refunds

Refunds for car rental, chauffeur, and airport transfer bookings depend on vendor terms, whether a vehicle has been assigned, and whether the service has commenced. Once a vehicle is dispatched or the duty has started, the booking may be partially refundable or non-refundable as per the operator's policy.

8. Customer Cancellation Requests

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted through one of the following official channels:

  • Email to support@majhatravel.com or refunds@majhatravel.com
  • Through the customer booking account on MajhaTravel.com
  • By calling or WhatsApp messaging +91 78146 67706

Refund processing will begin only after:

  • The cancellation request is properly submitted and verified
  • The applicable supplier rules and fare conditions are checked
  • The refundable amount, if any, is confirmed by the supplier

9. Refund Processing Timelines

As a general guide:

  • Flight refunds: 7 to 21 working days depending on the airline and payment channel
  • Hotel refunds: 7 to 15 working days after supplier confirmation
  • Bus ticket refunds: 5 to 10 working days after operator confirmation
  • Tour package refunds: may take longer where multiple suppliers are involved

All refunds are credited back to the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by applicable law.

10. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be available in the following situations:

  • Non-refundable flight fares, hotel rates, bus tickets, or package components
  • No-show by the passenger, guest, or traveller
  • Failure to board, check in, or report to the departure point on time
  • Incorrect customer or passenger details entered at the time of booking
  • Services that have already been used, partly used, or have expired
  • Visa rejections or immigration refusals where supplier terms do not permit a refund
  • Convenience fees, service charges, and insurance premiums marked non-refundable
  • Refund claims submitted after the permitted claim period has expired

11. Supplier Cancellation or Service Failure

If a booked service is cancelled by the supplier, refunds will be processed in accordance with the supplier's policy and any applicable regulations. Customers may be offered an alternative date, credit shell, travel voucher, or rescheduling option where available.

12. Force Majeure

Refund outcomes may differ in cases involving events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, floods, strikes, political unrest, pandemics, government restrictions, or transport shutdowns. In such situations, refunds will depend on the actual recovery permitted by suppliers, and full refunds may not always be achievable.

13. Convenience Fees and Service Charges

MajhaTravel.com may charge convenience fees, service fees, or processing charges on certain bookings. Unless otherwise stated, such charges are non-refundable even when the underlying travel component qualifies for a refund.

14. Refund Claim Period

Customers are advised to raise all refund-related claims within the period specified in the booking confirmation or supplier rules. Claims submitted after the applicable claim period may not be entertained.
